Gatwick Airport Sustainability Campaign

Communicating commitment to our environment

Background

London Gatwick is the UK’s second largest airport and most efficient single-runway airport in the world. Servicing over 200 worldwide destinations, Gatwick is committed to operating its business in a sustainable way.

Brief

We were asked to support Gatwick with the launch of their new environmental strategy. Having secured The Carbon Trust Standard for their approach to carbon management and an ISO 14001 certification, this campaign was the next step in communicating their 10-year plan.

Solution

The TW team approached this project as a campaign, not just a creative brief. Gatwick had a need to talk to a variety of audiences, which meant developing creative communications through a number of touchpoints. Highly impactful posters were displayed in passenger areas, while a 28-page Sustainability Brochure set out the full details of their plans. We then created a feedback survey to monitor stakeholder opinion.
