As creative partner, TW were lucky enough to be invited to join in the fun and by mid-afternoon it was clear that the festival spirit had taken over and everyone was having a great time. This meticulously executed event offers the opportunity to share industry news and insights, make new contacts and has the obvious side effect of opportunist sales. But I wonder how many less tangible benefits Duplo would also gain from the festival?
The brand building effect of a hospitality event like this can’t be underestimated, nor can its results be wholly measured. And it made me realise that in our world of social media post, tweet, hashtag, connect – a good old-fashioned face-to-face chat over a glass of your favourite tipple still carries such great weight, but is often overlooked.
